and some more...

so i know this is kind of random. to be posting some bridals again but i need to get some of these up here since i don't scrapbook. you may have heard me say this before but i had my bridals taken twice. once with sean and it was a little more formal. then after i got married i went out again and had some more taken. with just me. sean didn't feel obligated anymore since we had already sealed the deal. haha. i wanted to wear my hair down, with no jewelry. i wanted to be able to lay down in my dress. you know, be a little bit more casual. because that is more my style to be honest. haha. i probably would have gotten married in sweats if i could have. just kidding. sorta. also, our first set of bridals were taken in february and it was freezing! we got to do these ones in october and it was perfect. i loved the colorful leaves and the blowing wind. i decided i should probably just have bridals taken in every season just for the heck of it. you know, to make the dress worth it. haha i am only sort of kidding.

anyway. my sister maddie and my awesome friend mikki both took pictures of me at BOTH of these shoots. how cool are they? they are both so incredibly talented and i felt so blessed and lucky to be able to work with such awesome people. not only did i get to work with them, but mikki's husband braydon as well. they are such an awesome photographer team. you need to check out their website. anyway, after the whole blogging disaster happened and i lost all my pictures i dreaded re-posting everything. but i decided to do it anyway. then i had realized that i never put up the ones that mikki took. and then i could not find the disc anywhere when i was doing that wedding post challenge before my 2nd anniversary. i was devastated! then i remembered that i put them on facebook (my back up hard drive if you will). but all of the pictures came up as thumbnails.. ahh! way too small. what was i to do?

well this week.. i finally found the disc in my desk at work. i was so happy. so here i am finally now just posting the pictures that mikki platt and her husband braydon took. i hope they know how much these mean to me. i love them so much and am so grateful to have such awesome, talented friends. i feel silly getting my picture taken. but it was so much fun. and i feel silly posting pictures of myself, but i can't not post these because they did such a great job and they deserve the credit! they were so great to work with. i would recommend them, my sister maddie, and brother in law devin to anyone in a heartbeat. they are all fantastic. and mikki? we really miss you here at work! i hope all is well with you and your cute little family! also, these pictures are copyrighted by mikki platt so please do not copy them or take them. thanks!

the final wedding post.

i am combining #12 and #14-17 because they aren't picture heavy at all and anyway, and i am getting very anxious to end this thing!!

12. my favorite part of the wedding day: man. that is a tough one. i am going to have to say it was dancing with sean. not just the slow dance to our song.. but the fun, goofing off dance party that we had after. it was sooo much fun. but also the actual wedding ceremony was really amazing too.

14. thoughts on marriage: marriage is awesome. but it can also be really hard. obviously. i have to say that i think the first year was really easy. some people might say it is the hardest. but i think for sean and i? it was easy. the 2nd year was a lot harder. i don't know if it is because the honeymoon phase was over? i think it was just harder because sean got deeper into school.. i don't see him as much. we bought a new house. got a dog. sean had lots of health issues. i struggled a lot with my anxiety and some issues from my past. it just seemed like a lot more happened the 2nd year. now don't get me wrong. it has been equally as amazing. we had a lot of good experiences with work and school this year and i am grateful for that. we have worked really hard and managed to stay debt free besides our home and seans student loans and we have already reached our savings goal for the year 2011. a lot of really good things have happened this second year. we feel really blessed.

however, it was a little tougher. it's not that we fought more. it was just that we stopped overlooking things that we might have in the first year. our fuses might have gotten a little bit shorter. now don't worry! we hardly ever fight. but i am sure you know what i am talking about. we got to know each other better, and we kind of grew into a real married couple if that makes sense? maybe it doesn't. but anyway, i think it was necessary for all of that to happen. because a lot more is going to happen through our marriage, and i know that we can handle it. sean is amazing. and i have to say that marrying him was definitely the best thing i ever did. the best thing about being married to sean? i can completely be myself around him. even if i don't like who that person is. i can be it. i am grateful that sean has stuck around. it means the world to me. he is my best friend.

15. first place that you lived together: i don't know where the pictures went.. i think they are on seans computer. see? everything is all over the place. but the first place that we lived was in a duplex in provo. my uncle owned it and my cousins lived on the other side. it had 2 bedrooms, 1 bath. it got small really fast, especially when we got a dog! we had to get out of there before moses got any bigger. i am glad that we did. don't get me wrong, i am grateful we had the chance to live there. it was within our budget, and it was close to work, school, and family. but it is sooo much nicer having our own place. with a yard and garage for the dog. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. i love it. our old place was not really in a great neighborhood either. there was a lot of crime, and lots of cops always patrolling the area. although our neighborhood did make for some awesome stories, which i am sure some of you have read about on here before!

16. kids: well....... none yet! does moses count? i don't know when we will have kids. it seems like neither of us are feeling that it is right at the same time. one day i will feel okay about it. he isn't. the next day it's the opposite. i know that there never really is a "right" time to have kids. they say if you wait til you are ready you will never have them. but i would like for sean to be graduated from school first. that is next spring! it is coming up a lot faster than i thought.. maybe after he gets his MBA? haha. no really. i dunno. i guess we will see! we both really love kids and can't wait to someday be parents. as far as birth control? i am on the nuvaring and i love it. i am terrible at taking pills everyday. this is easy to use and i have no side effects from it.

17. most recent picture of you and your significant other and what you love most about them.

Photobucket

this was from our cruise just a couple of weeks ago. it was very bright out, and sure our eyes might be almost closed. but oh well! i love it. the thing that i love most about sean? he would do anything for anyone. in a heartbeat. he is very determined, smart, hardworking, handsome, and so good to me. i love how he acts like a little kid about the cutest things. he is going to be the greatest dad in the world. i know he can't wait to be one. i can't wait to see him be a father. he has grown a lot since we have been married. (not that i felt like he needed to, but he has) i am so proud of him. i hope he knows how much i love him. i hope he knows that i always will.

and that my friends? marks the end of the wedding post challenge. i did it! ahhhh! finally. now back to regular posting in a month or so when i recover from this. just kidding.. i have lots of things i want to talk about. so hopefully i will get around to it sometime soon! thanks for sticking along for this! hopefully i didn't bore too many of you!

the honeymoon.

13. honeymoon: where did you go? was it good? ;) haha...jk.

for our honeymoon we headed up to Midway after our reception to stay at The Zermatt. it was really nice! we had a yummy breakfast there in the morning, and then we took off for Vegas from there. in Vegas we stayed at the MGM Grand Signature Suites for 5 days. it was so much fun. we went to a magic show, gambled a little, walked the strip. a lot of people don't love Vegas.. but we do since it was where we had our first kiss. and we went back there on our first anniversary. we love it :)

funny story on our honeymoon, i am just going to copy and paste the story below the pictures since i had that on my blog already. i would link you to the post but it is missing pictures now! the story is below!

Sean might kill me for telling this story. (Like that has ever stopped me before) But I never want to forget it.

The third picture from the bottom (pale sean) was taken in our suite in Vegas... shortly after he was revived after passing out. We were staying at the MGM Grand Signature Suites. This room was amazing and had a HUGE jacuzi tub. One of the days that we were there, Sean decides to take a bath in there. While he was tubbin, he told me that he was feeling a little light headed. I told him that he was probably dehydrated because we had been walking around all day and should be careful getting out. Keep in mind, I am watching TV in the main room. I hear him getting out of the tub. He walks into the room with nothing but a towel on, says to me "Chloe, I don't feel soo gooo..." BAM. Sean fell straight to the ground. I seriously thought he was playing a joke on me. I ran over to him and he is passed out. His eyes are rolling in the back of his head and his mouth is making this weird noise and he is convulsing. What was I supposed to do? Forget that I am CPR certified and should be opening his airway and all that crap. All I could think about was how I was going to explain to everyone that I killed my husband on our honeymoon?? Should I call room service? Do I call 911? Should I try and put some pants on him first? What do I do? Luckily Sean came around before I called room service/911 and we decided to take it easy that night. Needless to say, Sean is not allowed to take unsupervised baths anymore. and that is why we had dinner delivered to our room that night. it took sean a good 12 hours to recover.. haha.

p.s. i know i skipped #12 but i am going to combine that with some of the last few posts.. i am ready to be done with this! haha. it has been a lot of work. all of the pictures are on different computers, or on facebook, or on some other site or disc. it has been a pain trying to track them all down i feel kind of self-absorbed/selfish blogging about my wedding day and whatnot non-stop. but i needed to do it and get it on here because i will never scrapbook. i am glad that i am doing this and it will feel so good to have it done! so take that you blogging disaster! you will not win...

our song.

11. your song or the first song you danced to at your wedding: share a music video or lyrics if you can!

here is #11 in the wedding post challenge...

"our song" and the first song we danced to at our reception is called "colors" by amos lee. i love it.

"Colors"

Yesterday i got lost in the circus,
feeling like such a mess.
And now I'm down,
I'm just hanging on the corner.
I can't help but reminisce.

Cuz when you're gone,
all the colors fade.
When you're gone,
no new years day parade.
You're gone,
colors seem to fade.

Your mama called, she said,
that you're downstairs crying.
Feeling like such a mess.
Ya, i hear ya,
in the back ground balling.
What happened to your sweet summer time dress?

I know we all,
we all got our faults.
We get locked in our vaults,
and we stay..

When you're gone,
all the colors fade.
When you're gone,
no new years day parade.
You're gone,
colors seem to fade,
colors seem to fade.

the cake and food.

10. the cake/food: i love food. so tell me about what you had at your wedding!

the food at our reception was catered by arlington house. a woman named edy buss owns the company and she is awesome! we didn't end up having a dinner at the reception. we just provided a dessert bar. it was right up sean and i's alley! i love sweets and he loves cheesecake so we made sure to have lots of cheesecakes. it was so yummy. there was also lots of fruit and grape juice. my only regret is that we would have been able to eat more of the food! edy saved us a doggie bag and handed it to us as we left. apparently there was no food left. i am so happy it all got eaten! it was amazing. we took the food back to our hotel but they didn't have a fridge. we tried to eat as much as we could but unfortunately some of it had to go to waste. it was soo yummy though.

the cake was made by girl named brittany mcmullin! she lives in st. george and is my cousin makinzy's cousin. make sense? anyway, she offered to bring it all the way to provo. how cool is she? the cake had three different layers and each layer was a different flavor. it was red velvet, chocolate, and lemon. we didn't really get to try the cake, besides feeding and smashing a piece into each other's faces. but we hear it was AMAZING. it was a hug hit. it had a buttercream whipped frosting. i think fondant cakes are pretty but i wanted one that was really yummy and easy to eat so that is why i went with this one! check out her blog here. she is amazing.

sean ordered the elephants on top of the cake from russia. my friend lee made them in to a bride and groom! i loved it! i still have them sitting on a shelf at my house but their little accessories came off in our move so we need to glue them back on. i love them know. if you didn't already know i have a little obsession/fascination with elephants. just a little one though... ;)

lees mom was our florist and she was amazing. she went above and beyond what i expected. i didn't have to worry about a thing. she took care of so much. her and lee even helped decorate the cake with flowers and stuff. they did so much. i am so grateful to have such amazing friends. i consider them family.

we toasted with dr. pepper for him and diet dr. pepper for me. it was perfect.

the reception.

9. (part 2) the reception: where was it at? show us some pictures! what day did you get married?

here is part 2 of # 9 in the wedding post challenge!

we had our reception at the utah county courthouse in provo. it was on the same day that we got married, march 13th, 2009. we had a ring ceremony before the reception! we had an awesome dance party after people came through the line. it was sooo much fun. i will never forget that day. even if i did throw up during the middle of it! yes.. i threw up at my reception. luckily i made it to the bathroom on time! i was just so tired and had been standing almost the whole day. it was totally worth it though.

my sister had the guest sign in book made by this awesome lady. i loved it. you can see all of the pages and details here! it was one of my favorite parts of the wedding. it was so sweet of maddie to have it made, and leigh-ann is so talented and did such a great job on it. she even took quotes from our blog from when we first met and typed them on to pages on there. it was perfect.

here are a TON of pictures... once again, sorry if you are sick of these posts.. i am hoping to finish these up sometime soon!
