confessional day #1

i think i am going to start confession day once a week. and i probably won't do it on the same day every week. and let's be honest i probably won't do it every week because i am lazy. i dunno, i just feel like it is something i want to do as of this moment. and i probably won't want to after i am done typing this. i have kinda done it once before and it turned into a really long post where i told some of my deepest, most awesome, humiliating secrets. so here are my confessions as of late...

i can't remember the last time that i cooked a dinner. oh wait, it was a week and a half ago. and it was pizza. way time consuming to pour a 1/2 cup of water into the already put together mixture that i bought. then put sauce, cheese, and pepperoni on top. and i may or may not have spilled half of the bottle of pizza sauce on the counter. and i may have told sean that i didn't scoop it back up and put it on the pizza. but i did. oh and for the record? i totally consider that homemade pizza.

i got some comments about how white sean and i's teeth were in the post yesterday. that is fake. our teeth are not that white. ha, in fact they looked really yellow in that picture. more yellow than normal. sean came home and said, "wow, i know for a fact that our teeth aren't that white." and i was like "well, yours aren't. i used picnik to make yours whiter."  i totally used it on mine too.  i mean yeah they are practically glowing in that picture, so maybe i overdid it a little. oh well, we all have our faults right? and by the way, who decided that white teeth were better than yellow anyway?

i do not shower everyday. most of you know this. sometimes i don't brush my teeth twice a day. sometimes i don't at all. but heck, sean doesn't either so who cares! i hate when he flosses. absolutely hate it. then i feel like he is being all judgey of me because i didn't floss last year and then i feel like i need to and it starts this huge contention thing in our home. so then he has to floss in secrecy. remember this post? yeah. it still bugs.

i have never bought anything from anthropology. or anthropologie. i mean anthro? i honestly don't even know how it is spelled. or what they really sell there? happiness in bottles and cute people? i also have never bought anything from urban outfitters. or wait, is it urban? sigh i dunno. i hear all this lingo and i don't even know what it is. i think the people that shop there for sure have cute stuff. but i have never bought anything from there. maybe it's an addiction that i don't want to start? but let me tell you, me and the freshmarket grocery store down the street are great friends. self check-out? heck yeah! that is what i call luxury.

and that is another thing. self check-out. best thing ever invented. now i can buy all my embarassing items without having to make eye-contact with the dude at the register who is pretending that he doesn't know i am buying tampons, laxatives, a plunger, wax, bleach for my facial hair, and $20 worth of candy.

i drink A LOT of soda. but it's diet so it's cool.

after i impulsively bought mosey... i freaked out. no one knows this. but WTF was i thinking? but i don't regret it. not one bit. although last night i slept through my alarms to take him outside to go pee... oops..

i am attracted to horrific, tragic, news stories. why?? i don't know.

i secretly wish i was a rapper. i am not like a huge fan of rap music or anything like that. but sometimes i wanna be a rapper. for the last week i have been re-playing the same 2 tupac(2pac) songs in my car. non-stop. i have known every word to  "my block" for a couple of years now. i am trying to get every word down in "Changes" i am getting there. that is my goal for this summer. and i even sing it with all the cuss words in it. it's just not rap if i am like "Give the crack to the kids who the heck cares one less hungry mouth on the welfare" oh and the 3rd time i hung out with sean i rapped "my block" for him in his jeep on our way to my softball game. i don't want to say that is the reason that he fell in love with me... but i have a good feeling that it was.

anyway, those are my confessions for today.  feel free to confess anything you want.

i am so glad it is friday. tonight we are going to see Iron Man 2 after our softball game. sean hasn't seen the first one. i tried to get him to watch it last night but he fell asleep. bad sign? we will see how he likes it.

Classic. I love the confessions. The same thing happened to me with whitening my teeth on picink. if only it were real.. let me know how iron man is! michael wants to see it for his b-dya. we loved the first one, but i'm hesitant. it seems like maybe it's gonna be overdone? whatever. hope you have a fun weekend. SO glad it's friday!

Chloe! When we impulsively bought our dog last year I freaked out too! Because we told my parents and they freaked me out by listing all these things a dog needs. But then I got over it. Because my dog is cute and sweet and the love of my life. I adore him and I'm so happy we got him.

couldn't have confessed it better. so LOVE this!!

i'm with you on the diet soda. i'm an addict.

you should make a vlog of you rapping to post on here. that would be amazing!

i'm seeing iron man 2 tonight as well! i heard it wasn't as good as the first, but we'll see.

have a good weeekend!

You're probably better off having never bought anything from Anthropoligie. I looked at their online store and everything is super expensive. So now you have more money to buy candy.

crissy said...

I've never bought anything from anthropologie, either. That's not to say I haven't wanted to, but they are pricey and I am poor.

Since I don't leave the house most days I don't brush my teeth every day. It's one of those extra luxuries that I don't bother trying to fit in if I don't have to.

I don't shower every day, either. Never have been a daily shower-er. Tried to get myself to do it once every 3 days, but even that is hard to manage. It usually ends up being about a week between showers. It's just not so easy to do with kids around, so I have to wait until Cori is home, and then I don't like to shower in the evening, so it ends up getting put off until Saturday. (Gross? Oh well...)

I've only been to church once this year and, since moving to this house in Sept, I've only gone to my actual ward once. And that was last year. Kind of pathetic. Before we moved I made it pretty much every week.

Happy Friday! I'm excited to see Iron Man 2 also...hopefully it'll happen sometime this weekend, but I'm not holding my breath :\

ha ha this is hilarious! i am so glad i found your blog... so fun to read! :)

i totally do the same thing with showering and i'm fine with it.
sometimes i will still wash my hair and just not shower.
josh doesn't understand the point.
and maybe it doesn't make sense...but i don't care.
WHATEVER.

i love your honesty, chloe.
you're a doll!

I definitely know all the words to Changes. Skyler was really impressed when he heard me rapping it.

Ok, after all that, there is only one thing I want to know: how are you so stinking cute and you've never shopped at anthropologie or urban? By the way, I've only bought a necklace at Urban, and I have a promise to myself to shop at anthro ONE day!

samnhal said...

He's a boy and it's iron man, he'll like it. Do you really need a lot of back story on an action movie? picnik= the most awesome thing ever. I love it. But a lot of the time I'm too lazy to edit the photos. Anthropology is a social science, that I graduated in :) and it makes me love the store anthropologie even more. Anthro and Urban Outfitters are addictions. I can only afford their major clearances, because weird, I don't have $200 to spend on a dress.

i got your back, never shopped at either one of those places either

also i am obsessed with rapping
i know all the words to cocktales & blow the whistle & shake that monkey by too short

and i know most of the words to gangsta party by 2pac (i wanna learn them all)

by the way i love your blog
and i love that you are lazy, cause so am i.

Chloe, I love this! So funny! I freaked out the day we got our dog, too. I went to bed that night thinking we had made a huge mistake, and wondering if the Humane Society would take him back. Now I'm so glad we have him!

I kind of wish I was a rapper, too. Sometimes I try and rap parts of songs, and I just sound stupid. I don't have a rapper voice. I just sound like a white girl talking funny.

I love this!! Chloe I wish we lived closer ... we would have too much fun. I love your confession. Oh and Marc and I are headed to Utah in July for the fourth .... maybe we can have a little blog adventure. xo

This whole post is so hilarious. I loved it! I share quite a few of these confessions with you which I find amusing. I'm going to have to show my boyfriend this post so he knows there are other people who do (or don't do?) the same things.

Have a nice weekend! :)

wonderful as always, lady! i love these confessions. & i have never used picnik so clearly i need to check this out. although once, at work, this guy came in with his dog (it was a vet hospital...) & seriously WOULD NOT stop staring at my teeth. really obvious. he told me i have very white teeth MULTIPLE times & kept giving me this creepy smile. he then asked me how they were so white when i was checking him out. i was kinda irritated/creeped out at this point & just told him "i brush my teeth".. and smiled (great customer service, right?). he thought i was funny. i couldn't wait for him to leave. random story, but there you go! :)

kelly ann said...

BAHAHA i was totally one of the ones that asked about your white teeth. hey, it looked so realistic to me. ;)

OH MY GOSH. hunnie, anthro & urban will change your life. cutest clothes ever. and anthro has the best home stuff. i would live in their store if i could. (seriously, i almost tried once. i was basking on one of their gorgeous couches and got kicked out because it was past closing time. oops.) the thing is... holy expensiveness. they have quality things that last forever, and i don't buy from them too much so i don't feel bad, but it will definitely drain your wallet... so maybe it's a good thing you don't know much about them? ignorance is bliss... and much cheaper. (although, urban has crazy good sales. i got an $80 dress for $10 once. i probably shouldn't tell you that. never mind.)

Okay, now this is my favorite, favorite post.
LOVE your confessions. And not just because they're funny. I totally relate.
More than that, I've been having so many thoughts lately about how humans (meaning ME) get so prideful and fake, and try to look good but are still human. We can't look that perfect. e just can't. And it separates us to TRY.

So...anyway, thanks. Imperfections are endearing.
I love, love, love your blog, dear Chloe :)

I confess I need a laugh right now more than anything. Thank you Chloe :)

Self-check out rocks! If only they had those at the pharmacy - but for obvious reasons, they can't...

Or can they?

Maybe we should come up with something...

Michelle said...

DUDE Self checkout is definitely THE best idea ever! I totally like that I don't have the cashier judging my cart!

And one time I had to buy my Dad laxatives, and I was glad no one had to see me buy them... though I did almost have to ask for help finding the exact one he wanted...

Aaand I floss every night, but don't worry that I judge you because when I don't leave the house during the day, I always forget to brush my teeth in the morning. Sometimes you just can't. Y'know?

sandy said...

I loved this post!! I totally agree about self check out being the most amazing thing ever, if I have to buy something embarrassing I avoid Target since they don't have self check outs.

Michelle Elisabeth said...

Can I be a rapper too?

Most embarrassing moment of high school, grad mock talent show, I dressed up like Nelly, low pants, pj's sticking out, bandaid and everything. Oh, and tinfoil bling. I was M-Slice, my bestie was K-Dawg.

Maddie said...

hahaha, being a rapper would be awesome! and i agree/am guilty of many of your confessions. but you're just brave enough to post them on the internets for all to see. love ya sis.

kaysi fox said...

geezzz, i wish i could write as good as you!! you make everything so funny!!! haha. i was laughing so hard, you are too cute!!! & picnik has a teeth whitening app, i am so going on that right now!!! haha

Selma said...

absolutely love this post. don't you feel better now?! ;)
i wish i was impuslive and could do what i always wanted or so. oh well. and i wish i could say i am not an anthro/urban or whatever fan. i am. love both. but, i try to stay away from them. my budget won't allow it too often. ;)

happy weekend girl. xoxo

I drink a ton of soda!! I'm addicted to Sprite Zero! I'll go thru like 4 cases in like 2 weeks.

anna said...

i love the confessions post. please do more of these!! and i love tupac too. i'm in my 30's and i still want to be a rapper...oh and a dj but not the kind that uses a computer, like the real spinner kind.

steph anne said...

haha, I do the same thing about whitening our teeth in the pictures. I'm glad I'm not the only one that's attracted to tragic news. Sometimes I'm sad when they don't follow up on some stories or post pictures.

Matt said...

I'm so happy you're not a rapper. I can't stand that %^!$ and I would quite possibly have to kick you out of the house. OH yeah, you are already out of the house. Nevermind!

You can be what you want, but, if you become and successful rapper, you need to buy me a new house before someone shoots you. :)

kayla & tyler said...

I am attracted to tradic news and stories too!! Me and Elise always watch 48 hours at work about really gruesome murders. haha but we really enjoy it! I would love to be a rapper too!!! If I hear a song once, I have most of the words down. I've always had that gift from quoting movies to knowing lyrics to songs, it's really easy for me to remember. and I always rap in my car by myself, hahah what can I say, I'm a straight up G.

lol - We all should do weekly confessionals! It'll make us realize we're not alone! Takes me back to my Catholic days as a child where I would tell the priest the funniest stories, I mean come on I had nothing good at 7 yrs old?! I think I made some stuff up during confessionals - give him a couple chuckles, you know! lol :)

Rhianne said...

lol, I love you!! I hate brushing my teeth so sometimes I dont do it either, I haven't brought anything from anthro or urban outfitters either - and I dont intend too - its expensive and far too cool lol.

everytime I see your twitter name I sing it like no diggity and then wish you were a rapper as well :) in fact thomas does as well and he has no idea who you are...

I drink too much soda and I'm incredibly jealous you have a puppy.

Your posts always cheer me up

Krystal said...

and you're cracking me up again. i should have been a rapper, too. and/or a backup dancer. also, when mark flosses it seriously stresses me out too and i feel the same way and i feel like he is a better person than I am.
