house.

our house has a long way to go. we have hardly had anytime do do anything in it but sleep. i worked 55 hours last week and 52 the week before. work has been crazy busy. i have so many ideas and plans for this place, but lack of time is really putting a damper on my plans. hopefully sometime soon i will be able to do something to the place! we have not painted anything, or put even one hole in the wall. it's plain and simple right now, which i am fine with. but i do want to add a few things!

here are just a few pictures of the place. i took pictures of it all, but the 2 spare bedrooms just had boxes in them, and the bathrooms are sooo plain. maybe someday i can get someone on HGTV to come over and help me design everything. a girl can dream right? sean has been spending a lot of time on the yard. we are hoping to get it ready to put sod in sometime in september. we will see! anyway, here are some pictures are stats on our house for my own documentaion...

Photobucket

the house was built this year, 2010. we are the first people to live in it. it has 3 Bedrooms. 2.5 Bath. 2 car garage. it has a large master bedroom, with a walk in closet inside of the bathroom! i love this. our room always looks so clean. the bathroom? that is another story. but unlike our apartment before, no one will even go in there and i can shut the door to it from the bedroom. so our bedroom always looks spotless. okay that is a lie but it looks much better than it did in our old place. no clothes all over the floor. i love it.

and the most important thing? a dishwasher. and i don't care about anything else because we have a dishwasher. but we also have a little laundry area for our washer and dryer, a very open kitchen that connects to the dining area and family room. i really do love our house. we made the first mortgage payment yesterday. crazy stuff. it's nice though that it's going to our own mortgage and not someone else's. however, it's double what we were paying in rent... so yeesh.

oh and i can't forget the couch. i love the couch. we finally have a new couch that doesn't have spiders in it, or smell like animal pee. it's great, i love it!

anyway, those are just a few pictures. there is nothing else worth showing.. but maybe someday! p.s. i hardly blog anymore. i miss you all. sorry for being so MIA. :( i hope we can still be friends!

p.s. sean and i got callings in our new ward. permanent substitute primary teachers. for a growing ward with over 550 members, 4 nurseries, 100 kids in primary, and 100 more that are about to enter within the next year or two. people were freaking out with excitement and saying that they were going to treat our phone numbers like gold. it was slightly frightening when they said people would be fighting over us every week. i sat in with the sharing time on sunday... and wow. all i have to say is please pray for us. haha.

Yay! Your house is amazing! Houses are my drug - I'm addicted. Thank the Lord I don't have the money to feed my habit...

Anyway - yes you have been missed but we can still be friends! Those hours are crazy! I can't imagine working at all let alone 55 hours a week! Sheesh!

I don't know what a ward is though so I will simply pray for you - no specifics! :)

Aren't dishwashers great?! When Josh and I moved from our itty-bitty studio to this one bedroom at the beginning of the year, I didn't realize how much having a dishwasher would improve my life! But it has. I no longer have to spend an hour every day washing dishes.

Holy huge ward. Wow! I'm a primary teacher and my class is the biggest with 6 girls, but we probably have like maybe 50 kids in both junior and senior. 4 nurseries? It's like you're in Eagle Mountain or something. sub primary teacher is like gold! I hear you about the dishwasher. We had one in our first apartment, but alas, no longer do we have one. Boo! Your house looks cute, I'm excited to see it when you have time to decorate it. Walk in closet off of the bathroom? Interesting. I don't know if I would like that, but I'm weird about bathrooms. Did you get that couch at costco? We sat on one yesterday that looked just like it and it was really comfy and we were talking about how it was a good price.

I love your couch too! Yay for no spiders or yucky smells. But seriously, that couch is like my dream couch. I would never sleep in my bed!

okay, so at the risk of sounding creepy, i think you used to live right around the corner from me, or somewhere close (which makes sense since provo is small, right?) because a couple weeks ago i had to take max out of relief society and when i was pacing the hall i looked at the pictures of people in other wards and your picture (with your hubs!) was on the board close to ours. and that was my longest run-on sentence ever, probably because it made me feel unintentionally stalkerish. :)

Your house is so cute! I wish we had a mortgage to start paying off! I guess you have to have a job to do that huh?! Sounds like the mortgage industry is keeping busy! Hopefully you are getting overtime! If you hear of any jobs in the industry let me know, sounds like the place to be right!
