First Post!

Well guys..its official! Me and Sean are gettin hitched! We are planning on March 13th, 2009 in the Provo Temple. We are pretty stoked! I am always looking at others peoples blogs, wondering how they find the time to post, and then I thought that this would be a good place for me to put all of our pictures up, and keep track of what we do. I forget things easily and it would be nice to use this as a journal! Anyway, we are really excited. I think I will just start posting pictures from the beginning until now. Anyway, here is a little background on us...

We both have grown up in Orem, Utah our whole lives. Same house and everything. Sean graduated from Orem High, and I graduated from Mountain View. Rival schools..haha. Sean and I actually met while we were in high school. I would say that we were 17, but I can't be sure. He says the first time he saw me, I was at Ernie's Sports Deli, and he was incredibly intimidated by me for some reason. I think the first time he left an impression on me was at one of the Orem High Talent shows. He was playing the guitar. I actually went to Sean's mission farewell, but little did we know that almost 4 years later we would cross paths again. That path? First Colony Mortgage.

I had just returned from Australia and Fiji this past summer, and learned that I was getting laid off from my current employer. My sister Maddie, hooked me up at her work. Me and Sean started flirting one night when he showed up at Chili's while I was with some buddies. He was with another girl and I thought they were dating. I thought it was weird that he was inviting me to go to Lake Powell with him the very next day. I kindly turned him down because I knew I wouldn't be able to get the time off. The following week he got my number at our Company Luau. He kept staring at me so I finally got him to come over and talk with me. He showed up at my softball game that night and I was so nervous. The night after my softball game, we went and had a bonfire up in the canyon. He made me sit in a marshmallow and it stuck to my jeans. The next night I invited him to go see Nick and Norah's infinite playlist. He thought that it was a band/concert. It was pretty funny. That Sunday we went "muddin" up the canyon in his jeep. It overheated and we got to sit and talk while it cooled down. It was one of those days I will never forget. The next week we went to a "Josh Groban" concert for our first official date. The best thing about this Josh Groban concert was that it wasn't actually a Josh Groban concert. My first clue was when he said we would just go pick up our tickets right before. And tickets were only $10.00??Hmm..seems a little cheap..oh and then it was at The Regan Theatre?? Doesn't that only fit like a hundred people? Then we got the ticket and I looked down on it and it was actually John Schmidt. It was pretty hilarious! I actually really enjoyed it and have teased him about it ever since.

The following weekend we went to Vegas for Derrick's birthday with Maddie, Tara, Brittany, Mike, and Beth. It was a blast. We have spent almost every day since then together. He is my best friend and I feel so lucky to know him. He makes me want to be better, and he makes me proud to be who I am at the same time. He accepts me for my flaws and imperfections, and even loves me for them. I don't know why he puts up with me!

We are totally opposite. He is a morning person, very clean, very good about keeping his car in good condition. He doesn't like to be lazy, likes to be on the move and getting things done. He is very good about doing his homework early or at least on time. I HATE mornings. I could sleep all day and I am not afraid to prove it. It is one of my favorite things in the world. I am also a slob. Very disorganized. I didn't use to be..lets hope its just a phase! I love to be lazy and do nothing. I am a procrastinator when it comes to homework. I wait until the night before its actually due. I am pretty chill and laid back on the inside and very fidgety on the outside. I am like a little kid, always having to touch something, opening dashboards, chewing on straws. Sean is very chill on the outside, and a constant worrier on the inside! I used to think I was the worrier.. Guess what..He worries worse!

I like to make up words, and he thinks I am smart. But shhh..don't tell. He doesn't care that I still sleep with my baby blanket. He knows exactly how I like my Diet Dr. Pepper.( Lots of ice to give it substance)He also will eat my pickles and gives me his tomatoes. I guess you could say opposites attract! Now that is not to say that we don't have a lot in common. We both love food, candy, dogs, music, the office, our families, no drama, and lots of other things! Anyway..More to come later as we try to plan this wedding!

My my what a story. Opposites do attract, someday you'll have to come down to our place and see how opposite my wife and I are. It all works out though.
