spontaneous?

i had a crappy day at work. just to be honest with you. i was grumpy and probably unpleasant to be around. but it got better and when i came home from work sean was making me chicken parm. he has had the week off so he decided to make dinner. he pretty much winged it but it was so delicious! the sauce was homemade and so good. sean got me all new pots and pans for christmas (do you think that was a hint?) so he got to test those out too. they are great! never thought i'd be excited about pots and pans. oh the life of an adult... i'm still in denial about it though.

and you might be thinking "but they have only been married almost three years.. why would they need new pots and pans already?" well clearly you all know i don't cook often so it's not like we needed new ones because ours were so worn out. we just never got new ones when we got married... kinda felt like a bridal shower on christmas morning. but it was awesome. i mean that in a good way! thank to sean's sister amanda though for letting us have their old ones when we got married! i promise they did get used...

moving on. . we also wanted to test out the apple tv sean got from my parents for christmas by renting a movie on itunes. we thought we were being all spontaneous. we were both excited. to hear sean say he wants to watch a movie at home is a rare thing for some reason. we go to movies all the time, but i guess we don't watch them at home together that often because he is usually doing homework. i however love movies and watch them all the time. i got all excited and we got in our pj's and got out the cupcakes i brought home...

i asked sean how long you get to keep a rented movie for on itunes and he said 30 days. but if you start watching it you only have 24 hours to finish it. we sat down to "rent" the movie off itunes... and it said "7 hours remaining". then it went down to 4 hours. then jumped up to 10. suck! so much for being spontaneous! we decided we better plan our spontaneity in the morning. so that it can download all day while we are work. then when we get home and the movie is ready to go then we can pretend we were suddenly spontaneous. planning to be spontaneous. ha. no one has to know the truth... except .. now everyone knows. crap. also we decided that they give you 30 days because that is how long it takes to download a movie! or maybe it's just because we are cheap and got the slowest speed internet. meh who knows?

oh well. anyway, i have been meaning to put together a year in review post but i'm too lazy to get it done tonight.. i'll get around to it eventually. maybe next year... ha. after today at work my brain hurts. i can't believe this year is almost over! where did it go? so glad tomorrow is friday!
