this post will be about tips. any kind of tips. useful information. cool products. i dunno, just a couple of things i have picked up in life and feel like i should share with anyone who cares! i don't have a lot to offer this world, so i feel like i might as well give where i can... if you don't care about blogging tips this first part might bore you. but if you go to the end you will find an awesome discovery...

so i started a post about blogging tips, and it got incredibly long. i am by no means, an expert. but i have picked up a few tricks along the way while trying to make my blog look how i want it to look. but anyway... i am going to save that post for something else that i have planned, but i just thought for the time being i would maybe randomly post one or two of those.

i am sure most people know this, but i know some people don't because i have been asked a couple of times. did you know that blogger updated the post editing system a while back? so you can now upload pictures easier, make your pictures x-large if you want? here is how to change the settings.

go to your dashboard in blogger. click on settings.  then basic. then scroll all the way down to global settings. there will be 3 options. change yours to updated editor. then save settings. i think it is so much easier to upload photos and make them bigger. i have no switched over to photobucket to upload my images, and it can get time consuming, but for those that want to stick with blogger i think the updated editor is a lot nicer. although, i think they are still working on adding a video upload for that. if you want to upload a video you might have to switch back to the old one for a bit, or upload it through youtube.

another thing. they have added pages to blogger. that means that you can have labels at the top or on the side of your blog that say "home" "about me" "contact" you know..all that jazz. if you go to posting and see how there are a few tabs that say new post, then edit post, and then edit pages? click on the edit pages one. you can create a page and then select if you want it to be on the top or side of your blog. pretty neat. anyway. those are just a few of my blogging tips for the day.

here is a make-up tip. and a little story to go with it...

sean doesn't know this, and at least if he does, he pretends that he doesn't. but i have a problem. okay lots of them but this is just one. it seems like every time i go to the store i have to buy a new mascara. i feel like i have to sneak it into the house in a brown paper bag. it's like i am addicted to dirty magazines or something and don't want sean to know. anyway, i have not been happy with my mascara's for a long time. just seems like you find one you like, and then they stop making it. or you see one that is super shiny and awesome and you think it must work awesome but it doesn't. you know that one that vibrates? yeah. i bought that. used it once. the stiletto one? well heck, it had a cool name so i had to buy it. i have like 50 unused mascara tubes sitting in my make-up box. and i am not exactly raking in the dough if you know what i mean. it is embarrassing. but i have not been able to find one that i liked. until last week. my friend lee and sister maddie told me about covergirl lashblast mascara. and my life changed forever...

seriously. i came into work the next morning and was so happy. we all compared eyelashes for like ten minutes. we were ecstatic. we felt like we had discovered a new element or something. i get sooo excited to get up in the morning now. okay. not really so much at all. but this makes my mornings a little bit better. this orange one is for volume. for some reason i always just wanted to make my eyelashes longer. so i was always buying lengthening stuff. but i decided to try this..and i love it. absolutely love it. the brush is super thick and covers all my lashes. i know having pretty eyelashes is such a silly, material thing. but WHO THE HECK CARES? if it makes me feel good i am probably gonna buy it. except for crack. i will try to stay away from that shiz. and now i should probably stop typing because i feel like i am on america's next top model right now. promoting a beauty product. hahaha. i just like the stuff and thought i would share. i honestly know nothing about make-up and beauty. so maybe everyone else already knows about this and i am just the last to know. oh well. the end.

p.s. we finally bought a new washer and dryer last night. we have been out a dryer for like 4-5 weeks now. we actually bought some new ones. we felt so adult and responsible. and i am not saying that is a good thing.... but regardless, we like having clean clothes. and sean missed doing our laundry.
