poor moses....

oh poor moses! he had such a rough day on wednesday! the first picture was right before we went into the vet's office. he had no idea what was coming! we checked him in and they said they wouldn't have to put a cone on him. well they called us after the surgery and said that he had ripped out his catheter and iv before the surgery and that there was blood every where. they said they didn't trust him so they had to put a cone on him. we walked him out from the vet and i wanted to snap a picture. we didn't notice that he had started to pee. keep in mind he is potty trained but he had all that fluid in him and just had to let it out. he peed for at least 60 seconds straight, i kid you not. right in front of the door. he was so out of it that he just sat there peeing and peeing. sean had to get him to raise up his front legs so that he wouldn't get it all over himself. he just kept going and going. i finally turned on the video camera and recorded the last little bit...

here is the video of him, it's not very long but
we could not stop laughing.. maybe you had to be there!

my favorite part is when he just looks to his right and keeps peeing. then he hiccups and realizes what is going on. so funny! so after he we got him in the car, sean decided that he needed a haircut. he said it wouldn't take long and i could just sit with mosey in the car. well mosey was full on crying. not just whining. he had tears coming out of his eyes. saddest thing i have ever seen. it was going to be a 20 minute wait for sean to even get in to get his haircut, so i drove mosey home and was going to come back and get sean. mosey was so upset. i tried to get him to stay in the back but he tried to jump up front with the cone on his head. he got stuck in between the seats with the cone facing down. he just laid there like that. half of his body in the front and half in the back laying over the console. i got his head unstuck but he just laid like that the whole way home. when i got him inside he went crazy. he hated the cone. he started trying to run around like normal but was knocking things down and getting stuck. poor little guy. he just wanted some food and water so i let him have some. the funny thing is that when he bends down to eat the cone covers the ground and its like a suction cup. poor little guy! we can't take the cone off even for a second for a whole week. he isn't allowed to jump around, play, or go on walks. but believe me, that hasn't stopped him from trying to. he keeps getting stuck trying to go into his cage because the cone is wider than the entrance to his cage. it is so hard not to laugh.. we love this little guy. i feel so bad for him. although i can't say that we haven't been tempted to put him on the roof to see if we can pick up some starzz or HBO....

(p.s. i posted right before this about our 4th of july weekend)

The thing with the cone is so funny. Daisy had to have one last year after her accident and it was the funniest/saddest thing. She's short so when she would run, sometimes the cone would catch on the grass and trip her up. It was hard not to laugh...

I laughed a good 2 minutes straight just now! oh my god... you have to submit that first pic to Ellen or someone who airs funny photos like that! Poor Mosey... this is just too funny.

Okay. That is truly so sad!! And um...who is this giant dog you are calling mosey?? He is so big! I was comparing that first picture to the one on the sidebar, and I can't even believe it. That cone just makes me sad. Poor thing. And he doesn't even know what's going on. Makes me feel bad for the little guy :( he is cute though!

Chloe,
Thanks so much for making that comment on my blog! Seriously, being called classy is about the best compliment someone has ever given me! And thanks for making yourself known. I love it when people let me know that they check out my blog! It's such a small world and I love to make that connection with people.
By the way, I know this is SO random, but you are SO beautiful! I love your pics on the side, you have a very classic look that I love.
Thanks for all you said, it really meant a lot!

oh poor little guy!!!! my girls had to wear the cones when we got them fixed and they did NOT like it... try driving with TWO of them in the car by yourself! It was miserable....luckily we were able to take their cones off and just keep an eye on them...it was a LONG week....

Congratulations on being soon to be home owners! That is awesome Chloe. And your house is seriously so cute. This is a big step, and I'm sure you will be glad you did it. Yay!

wow. well i just read everything and you are right about google reader not being very accurate. i am so excited for you to get a house. that is going to be so fun. plus it looks adorable. poor moses but what good parents he has! i loved reading your "i am okay". you are so smart and i love how you talk yourself through things. it is difficult not to compare, especially when there are kids who have $50,000 in their savings (what the?). anyway i just appreciated that post a lot. i hope you post lots of pictures of the inside of your house too. oh how exciting!

ooo lots of posts! Poor guy. It's sad when animals have to wear the cone of shame. My friend had a cat who had to wear it perminately
because she would bite herself or something weird like that, so once she wrapped it in wrapping paper, that was awesome. but you guys will move soon and he'll have more room and no cone and forget about his manhood and be a happy puppy all over again.
