a week of firsts.

last week was a big week for mosey. he had his first bath. he went to his first softball game. he gained 3 lbs in 3 days. he had his first date. he humped his first stuffed duck. he went on his first major car ride. he went on his first little vacation to my grandparents in Torrey, Utah. he rode on a four-wheeler. he slept by a fire. and he took lots of naps with sean. not only was it a week of firsts for mosey, it was a week of firsts for sean. moses is the first dog that sean has ever owned. it has been kind of a big deal for him :)

mosey just loves sean so much. he always falls asleep on him. i love it. we had a good weekend. so good, that sean is passed out right now in bed. no joke, he went to bed at 8:30. i don't blame him. it's kind of hard packing up a dog and taking it on vacation. sean is very concerned about all of mosey's behaviors. i think it is adorable. seeing him take care of this little puppy confirms to me that he is going to be a great daddy someday. i mean i have always known that. but this just sets it in stone.

as much as i love moses, i wish i had something more to blog about. he has consumed our lives this past week. we have hardly slept. we are exhausted. we can't believe that it has only been a week. when we aren't both with moses we are exhausted, passed out in our bed. it has been completely life changing. i am sure many people will think that i am being dramatic saying that. but it is the truth. and we are okay with that. on friday, sean said to me, "chloe, you can never take mosey from me. if you ever try to get rid of him? i will never let you. i will fight for him. he is my little buddy."

he is our little buddy. it is weird to think that we will be about 40 when he leaves our lives. i don't know if i want to think that far ahead. not sure if it is because i don't want to think about being 40, or if i don't want to think about life without him. well no matter what happens, we love him. even when sean gets upset because he won't come to him when he hears his voice. even when we are laughing so hard because he ran into a cement ledge in our driveway, and barks at it and growls at it because it caused him to tumble. even when he is crying at 3 in the morning because he wants us to take him out. even though we just did. even though we can barely keep our eyes open at work. we will still love him. even though he bites our feet, and loves mud, and eating flowers. we will still love him. even when he won't poop when we take him out, and then decides he wants to right after we bring him back in? we will still love him. this little puppy is teaching us patience. and sean and i both needed a little bit more of that.

i think in the next few weeks, things will calm down a little. i will be able to actually find some time to comment on other peoples blogs and get some other things done. i feel kinda out of the loop lately and i am sorry. but this little guy really does require a lot of attention right now. and maybe in a few weeks, something else cool will have happened in our lives. dog-related or not, we blog about our life. and this is our life right now. we are both incredibly happy. and incredibly blessed.

He looks so sad in the tub! Poor guy. Glad you had a fun weekend. Someday we will hang out. And I know I'm probably annoying saying that all the time, but I think we should. And I know you're probably like, "Okay chik. Get the hint" because Michael has this cousin and his wife and they moved in about a block away and Michael was like "Yeah. We should do dinner or something." Just saying it, ya know? And now they will NOT leave us alone about it! THey keep calling and stopping by and Facebooking and one even said "I know you're trying to avoid us" and we were like "Uh..." but then yesterday he came to Dane's blessing and followed Michael around at the luncheon harassing him about hanging out. And I was like, why won't they get the hint? Michael was just being nice,ya know? That's just what you say to people! But we're not trying to be rude..even though we ARE beign rude. But we just don't have anything in common or anything to say to them adn catching up for 2 seconds in the hall at church gets awkward cause we run out of things to say. So what are we gonna say at dinner?? ANYWAY! My point is that I don't want to be like Michael's cousin to you. BUgging you adn stalking you and asking you to hang out when you're like..get the hint! So anyway..I am hopefully not as annoying and weird. And PS, I hope they dont' somehow randomly find this comment some day. I'd die. But then maybe they'd get the hint? Kidding. I'm so rude. But kind of serious. But not really because I would feel really bad. I really would. Even if we dont' want to hang with them..I'd still feel bad. But I'm not really worried about them finding this. But anyway..I think I can stop repeating myself 89 times now. Sheesh.

Oh my gosh how darn cute! When I gave Monte his first bath he was LIVID. And then he started running around like a maniac!

Being a doggie parent can be so exhausting but so rewarding at the same time, right?

So cute. I love your new puppy. I also love how Sean is concerned about him and loves him. Totally reminds me of my Scott. He does the same thing with our kittens. And as a result: We have the two most spoiled kittens. ever. Pretty fun Chloe!

moses is so stinking cute! i loved when we first got marley. she totally took up our whole lives for awhile - just like having a human baby and we had such a fun time doting on her. enjoy this time in your life while moses is a pup. it's such a great time :).
