the weekend.

it's been a good, busy, sad, fun weekend. i got off of work a little bit early on friday and headed over to my parents. my brother and sister in law are in the process of buying their first home and we got to talk with them about it for a bit! i am so excited for them! sean met up with us when we got off work and we talked and ate some of my mom's delicious chex mix that she was making. after that i headed to target to get a baby shower gift and some dog food. sean headed home and we met up later and just spent the evening at home. it was nice to not do anything that night!

saturday was quite a busy day for me. sean and i woke up early to make a dessert to take to dinner that night. we made sugar cookie bars! sean made the frosting and pretty much just made it up. it was yummy. then we got the house cleaned up. we still have soooo much dog hair left behind from the other dogs. i think it will take a while for that to all go away! oh well! after that i got ready for a busy day. one of my dearest friend's mother passed away last week. his dad passed away just ten months before. i attended her funeral yesterday. it was so sad. such a sad beautiful funeral. they are such a strong, incredible family though. they have ten AMAZING kids in that family and their parents did a great job in raising them. i have no doubt that they will carry on their legacy.

after that i went to a baby shower for my cousin's wife ashley! all of my cousins were there and my aunt, along with my grandma, mom, maddie, lee, and sarah! ashley is due the day after christmas! my cousin jenessa also just had a baby a couple of months ago. his name is madden and he is the adorable little baby in these pictures! my other cousin tara (and jenessa's sister) brought her baby girl luella who is ten months old! it was so fun being with all the girls and babies. we ate some awesome food and watched ashley open tons of adorable baby things!

after that we met up at his cousins house and had an awesome dinner. we had the best chicken burritos that i have ever had. i can't get over them. i must get the recipe. they also brought us sonic drinks and it totally made my day. i loved it. we played a really funny adult game called loaded questions and my stomach seriously hurts from laughing. it was so much fun! i can't wait to do it again!

today we went to church, subbed in nursery again (different class. we have 6 nurseries) then came home and took naps. at least i did! sean said he got sucked into a poker tournament. then we headed to my parents for a yummy dinner and stopped by his parents after to bring some of the sugar cookie bars and say hi. we got to play with the babies and that was fun! even though addi peed on me i still had a good time! i love our families! then we came home, watched sister wives and now we are watching holmes inspection in bed. this weekend has not been long enough. i am already counting down til next weekend. sorry this post was not that exciting but oh well. i haven't been feeling well today and am still a little sad from the funeral so don't really feel all that exciting anyway. oh well! hope you all had a great weekend! here are some pictures from this weekend!
